    Description

    Scott # SC16
Bureau of Engraving and Printing 8 1/2 x 10 1/2" souvenir card for the 23rd ASDA National Postage Stamp Show held in New York City, November 19-21, 1971. Three Graf Zeppelin stamps in original size and original color but no values. Wording: "Reproduced here are the vignettes from the three special United States airmail stamps issued in 1930 for exclusive use on the first European-Pan American round trip of the Graf Zeppelin. Each design, depicting in allegorical form the common theme of the airship in flight, is printed in the same color as the original stamp. On the left is the vignette from the 65 cent denomination representing the Zeppelin's eastward journey over the Atlantic Ocean. That on the right is the representation of the airship's westward trip, from the .60 stamp. The center design, from the .30 stamp, shows the craft as a connecting link between the European and American Continents."
